This traditional Simnel cake is full of plump sultanas, raisins, glace cherries, and Italian mixed peel. In keeping with tradition there is a layer of marzipan through the centre of the cake, and the addition of Mixed Spice and Cinnamon give a lovely warmth. The cake is decorated with apricot jam, decorative toasted marzipan, and eleven balls of marzipan which represent a disciple of Jesus, minus Judas the traitor. Wrapped with a decorative ribbon and shipped in a *clear clamshell. I pack the cake as best as possible for shipping but can offer no guarantee that they will arrive as shown. A cake tray is packed in the box.
